TGPSC Group 1 Exam Pattern 2024

Let’s begin with the understanding of the TGPSC Group 1 Exam Pattern for Prelims, Mains. This would be of great help in preparing a strategic plan for scoring good marks in the examination. The detailed TGPSC Group 1 Exam Pattern for all three stages is given below-

TGPSC Group 1 Prelims Exam Pattern 2024

  1. TGPSC Group 1 Prelims Exam consists of one paper carrying 150 objective-type questions for 1 mark each.
  2. The duration of the prelim exam is 2.5 hours.
  3. There would be no negative marking for each incorrect answer.
  4. TGPSC Group 1 Prelims are qualifying in nature and marks will not be included in the merit list.
  5. The language of the Preliminary Exam will be English, Telugu, and Urdu.

TGPSC Group 1 Mains Exam Pattern 2024

  1. TGPSC Group 1 Mains Exam consists of 6 descriptive papers and a qualifying English language paper.
  2. The duration of each paper is 3 hours.
  3. General English is qualifying and marks will not be added to the merit list.
  4. The questions in General English subject will be as per “10th Standard”. the
  5. There will be no negative marking in the TGPSC Group 1 Mains Exam.
  6. The language of the Mains Exam will be English, Telugu, and Urdu.
